The software update was very fast and the whole setup process took less than 30 minutes, including pairing with my Watch. Once I restored the phone I went through the update manually process and selected iCloud backup to restore from. But temporarily disabling the End Call button is another crafty use for it. For me, the transfer from phone option was a big mistake and caused, I think, the software update failure. The only problem with FaceTime calls: wildly flailing toddler fingers and toes lead to frustrating accidental hang-ups. Fortunately, thanks to FaceTime, they see and hear her often enough to remember her, and she got to see them often during those months when they sprout from tiny infants to bouncing babies.
